Outstanding Scenic Geological Features of Pennsylvania was published by the Pennsylvania Geological Survey in two volumes. Volume One, published in 1979, provides directions to three hundred and eighty-nine geological features of interest as "scenic natural resources". It is currently out of print. Volume Two, published in 1987 extends the total number of sites to five hundred and fourteen.

This electronic version is meant to be a resource in conjunction with my Pennsylvania: A Keystone Geology site that can update the information from those texts and provide a place for all to share their experiences and expertise on these special Pennsylvania locations. All text without reference is directly from the books. Where possible, I have updated and added personal material and noted the provider's name and email (when offered).

Volume One is complete. I will attempt to add sites from Volume Two as soon as possible and enter detailed information as time permits. Sites that I personally visit or that I receive information about from visitors to this site will take priority. I am especially looking for crisp, new photos in jpg or gif format. Please email me if you have anything to contribute to the site.

You may also want to check out two other resources.
